Little 5 month-old Java, awaking from her 5th nap, asked:

"Please tell, Dudley, just how did Paul Martin vote on that Afghan motion?"
"Can’t say!", saith I, "He did not show up for the vote!"
"But, how would he have voted?", barked Java .
"Truly don’t know, little Java. Never really knew what he stood for…"

Java, suddenly wagging her tail: "Oh! I remember now!!! : that's why we need a new Leader!"

Stephen W. Harper Goes South

Here we go now: Just saw Mr. Harper declare, on CBC French, that all MPs who voted against the motion to keep our boys and girls in Afghanistan until 2009 were, in effect, “not supporting our troops”. What is this ? Where are we ? In Washington or in Ottawa ?

This kind of “You’re either with us or against us!” stupid-simplistic talk sounds a little bit too Bushistic to me. Is this how it's going to be from now on ? Does not sit well with us pups anyway. How about you folks ?

EXTRA! EXTRA! DUDLEY & JULES DECLARE FOR DION !!

The Pups are Back in Town, and woofing for DION !!

Hello Humans, Boys and Girls and … all our Four-legged Friends! Jules and I have been away from the blogosphere for quite a while, but for good reason: our own personal Humans got us a little sister! Java is now 5 months old (too young to write, but it'll come). With the house-training, a healthy dose of liberal education and everything else, we have been quite busy.

But we are back, keeping an eye on, amongst other things, the Liberal leadership race. Might as well tell you right up front: Dudley, Jules and Java will be woofing for STÉPHANE DION!

It’s not that he’s the only good candidate. But, after careful consideration, we’ve decided (by show of tail, no less!) that Stéphane Dion is the best man for the job. He would make a great Liberal leader, and, as soon as possible, a great Canadian Prime Minister.

In the upcoming logs, we, Dudley and Jules – The Alter Boys – will bark you why we strongly believe that Stéphane Dion should be voted the Alpha Dog of the Liberal Party of Canada.
