OK. Forget the elections for a few moments. December 8, 1980. I remember precisely where I was, and what I was doing, when I heard that John Lennon had been shot. Do you?
Now, I’m no sentimental puppy, but I can hardly imagine what my life would have been like without John’s music. I also remember what John once said, circa 1969: “If the world had more leaders like Pierre Trudeau, there would be peace on earth.” - Have a drink on me John! Now, back to the campaign.
